I’ve just spent a week in Scotland, ostensibly doing research for the book I’m writing although really, if we’re being honest, I suppose that’s just an excuse to go and run some trails and call it work. For lots of reasons this book has taken much longer to write than it should have but I’m now working towards an end of September deadline which I’m determined to meet, mostly for my own sanity.
I’ve spent a huge amount of time over the past two years thinking about this book and talking about this book and making hundreds of different planning spreadsheets for this book but have basically left it until the final three months to do the bulk of the physical research and the actual writing. Weirdly, though, despite the tight timescales, I feel so much less stressed about the whole thing now.
