I cannot help with Sewing but Maralyn and Maurice is a great story/book. For another non-fiction recommendation “Raising Hare” by Chloe Dalton is both excellent and heartwarming. Best to you and Isaac for the new arrival!
I wish I learnt more about sewing and textiles in school to be more handy... I started attempting to recushion our dinning room chairs with the help of my mum and it was so hard we only got one done. Now need to wait for my parents to visit again before attempting another 😂 good luck with the sewing I bet it will be so satisfying!
Ah I totally relate! My auntie helped me get started with the machine when she visited a few weeks ago but unfortunately she lives 4 hours away, really need her on standby around the corner. Good luck with the chairs!
