With Dad outside YHA Black Sail, Britain’s most remote hostel (probably?)

My Dad’s having a big operation on his hip in December. It’s a resurfacing, which is basically the step before a full hip replacement. It’s the same procedure that Andy Murray had a few years ago. Buoyed by Andy’s return to professional tennis after his op, Dad seems convinced that he too has a certain career as an elite athlete waiting for him on the other side of “The Andy Murray” (as he keeps calling it). I don’t like to point out that Andy was pretty good at tennis beforehand. Well, I might have pointed it out once or twice…

Anyway, just in case his recovery isn’t quite as quick as he’s hoping, we’ve been trying to squeeze in some final adventures before he’s off his feet for a while. One of these involved ticking something off that’s been on Dave’s bucket list for a while: a night at YHA Black Sail.
